Toys R Us Exclusive Sonic On The Way

  The Toys R Us exclusive 11-inch Sonic figure is done and should be on shelves in approximately 30 days according to the ReSaurus staff. The figure includes a modular sound base that plays 3 sound clips from the hit video game, Sonic Adventure (see below). The phrases are:
- This is Happening!
- Oh Yeah!
- Ready to Roll Champ? Let's Go!
The exclusive version comes in slightly different packaging, including a "Try Me" feature in the front window. We spoke with ReSaurus designer Ken Lilly about the new product and the future of the Sonic Adventure line."We are all really pleased at how well the 11-inch figure turned out. The sound version and the non-sound version are the same figure. The only difference is that the sound version comes with the sound module, of course," said Lilly.  And what's up next for Sonic and his pals?
"A second assortment is already in development and should make a lot of people very happy since it includes many of the most requested characters. We will debut the series at Toy Fair so you will have to wait until then to find out the exact assortment. But we think it will be worth the wait," added Lilly. In the meantime, folks who want to get their hands on the 11-inch Sonic Figure itself can get the non-sound version through the RTM Store for immediate shipping. The Toys R Us exclusive should be showing up in late February just in time to ease the post Toy Fair new product slump common in the toy world.
