Action Man U.S. Bound Again?
|
Look out Max Steel 'cause Action Man is coming back! Comics Continuum is reporting that Fox Kids will be airing a new cgi-animated series based on Hasbro's Action Man property.According to Comics Continuum the show is being produced by Bob Skir and Marty Isenberg, and animated by Mainframe Entertainment. This is a reunion for Skir, Isenberg and Mainframe as they had previously worked on the Beast Wars: Transformers series. The series is expected to bow in May with a one hour special before graduating to regular series status in the Fall. Does this new series herald a return to American toyshelves for Action Man? It's been a few years since the line was available in the U.S. at mass market (in conjunction with a previous short-lived animated series) and the 12" figure collectors market has been booming. Could be that Hasbro has a surprise up their sleeve for Toy Fair, or it could be a wait-and-see how the series performs situation. RTM will bring you the latest information as it become available.
