NASCAR Racers Race in 2000 With New Toys
|
Hasbro worked with NASCAR, Fox Kids and Saban Consumer Products to create cool, high-quality toys straight from the story line for NASCAR Racers. The series is the story of four brave young drivers- CHARGER McCutchen, SPITFIRE Fassler, FLYER Sharp and STUNTS Rey and their futuristic racing machines. Sponsored by Fastex Corporation, the team uses 21st century technology that enables their cars to perform incredible stunts and adapt to each driver on extreme terrain race tracks, such as the Motorsphere- the racing centerpiece of New Motor City. The four heroes of Team Fastex go head-to-head on and off the track with the evil Collector and the other villains on Team Rexcor. Competing in the NASCAR Unlimited Division, Team Fastex uses its superior car technology to outrace the competition and win against Team Rexcor. The NASCAR Racers adventures are brought to life for kids with unique track sets that let kids experience the off-road excitement. The Hasbro toyline debuted at the end of last year in toy stores across the country, and will expand this year to include more cars and figures. The centerpiece of the line is the 1:32 scale Morphing Vehicle with Rescue Racer, Figure. Each car is approximately 7" long and features a special transforming action that replicates the action of the car in the animated series. Included with each car is a Rescue Racer, sort of a NASCAR Racers version of a lifeboat that allows the driver to eject in the event of a mishap on the track. Also included is an articulated 2" action figure with removable helmet. The first release included Charger, Flyer, Collector and Stunts. Planned for later in 2000 are new cars (and uniforms) for Charger and Flyer, as well as all-new cars for Spitfire, and Spectre. | | Charger | Spitfire | | | Spectre | Collector | | | Flyer | Stunts | For More on Nascar Racers in 2000 check out RTM's NASCAR Racers Toy Fair 2000 Coverage!
