(SAN FRANCISCO, March 5, 2003) - Wild Planet Toys is continuing its brand marketing strategy throughout 2003 with a cross-merchandising program with Kraft Foods' Kool-Aid® products. The toy company has designed a custom premium - The Mad Voice Twister™ - that will be available exclusively from Kool-Aid® beginning in the second quarter of 2003.
"Given our current branding strategy, this cross-merchandising program with Kool-Aid offers us a multi-faceted means of reaching our two key target markets - kids and moms," said Nathan Keker, director of marketing at Wild Planet. "The Mad Voice Twister is an innovative toy that allows Kool-Aid to deliver a fun experience to kids. It's an excellent tie-in for Kool-Aid's new Mad ScienTwists™-rainbow powder that turns into a neon colored drink with a mega refreshing taste" said Sunita Adams, Kool-Aid's senior brand manager at Kraft Foods. Kool-Aid® Mad ScienTwists™ come in two cool new flavors, Wild Watermelon Kiwi™ and Raspberry Reaction™.
The Mad Voice Twister allows kids to disguise their identity by recording their voices and playing them back in a variety of ways. Product demos will be featured on Kool-Aid point-of-purchase displays in grocery stores and Wal-Mart locations throughout the second and third quarters of 2003. The mail-in offer will also be promoted in national television commercials, a print advertising campaign and at www.kool-aid.com.
