New DC Direct Figures Announced

DC Comics has announced the latest round of DC Direct products for fans to start salivating over now. These products will not be in stores until later this fall, but will be offered for order in the next issue of Previews.Fans of Jack Kirby's classic Fourth World saga will thrill to the new Mr. Miracle/Big Barda 2 pack as much as fans of Mark Waid's classic run on Flash will delight to seeing Impulse and Max Mercury (each sold seperately) in action figure form. An incredible 2-pack presents two of Jack Kirby's most dazzling "Fourth World" creations: the world's greatest escape artist and his Female Fury wife plus a bonus figure! Scott Free -- formerly of Apokolips, currently of Earth -- stands 6 1/2" tall with eleven points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles) and comes wearing a removable soft vinyl cape. His wife, the statuesque Big Barda, stands 7" tall with seven points of articulation (shoulders, elbows, upper arms, and waist) comes with an Omega Rod she can grasp and wears a removable helmet and a non-removable cape. The happy couple comes packaged together in a striking collector's box with two pairs of white "areo-disks" that secure to the bottom of their feet. Based on the undead, Elseworlds Batman from the Kelley Jones-illustrated "Vampire trilogy" -- BATMAN/DRACULA: RED RAIN, BATMAN: BLOODSTORM, and BATMAN: CRIMSON MIST -- this haunting cold-cast porcelain statue captures the Darkest Knight of them all bursting from his grave. The emblem of Death of the Endless is reproduced in a beautiful wearable beveled pewter prop. Hanging from a fine black cord, this handsome ankh is inscribed on one side with the Neil Gaiman-written phrase "you get what anybody gets" on one side and that phrase's completion, "you get a lifetime," on the other.
