Tempe, Ariz. - ActionMcFarlane, a joint venture between Tempe-based companies Action Performance, the leader in motorsports collectibles and merchandise and McFarlane Toys, announces its first NASCAR driver action figure series due out in September 2003, featuring photo-realistic collectible figures of six top drivers. The first NASCAR driver series lineup is as follows:

  • Dale Earnhardt
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Rusty Wallace
  • Tony Stewart
  • Jeff Gordon
  • Ryan Newman

Look for NASCAR series 1 action figures in September with future series hitting pit row regularly.

The company plans to produce both an all-ages mass-retail line as well as specialty versions for a mature consumer. NASCAR® Drivers Series specialty collectibles will be available through Action's 18-member ARC Distributor Network and the following McFarlane accounts: Baseball Card Warehouse, Sammy USA, Diamond, GameStop, Electronics Boutique, Southern Hobby and The Spider's Web. In addition, an all-ages NASCAR® Drivers Series line will be sold at Wal-Mart and Toys "R" Us retail locations.
