Alex Ross is world famous for his incredible works of painted comic art, Smallville TV Guide covers, 2002 Academy Awards Poster, Kingdom Come action figures and now he will be here signing and promoting his new book "MYTHOLOGY; The DC Art of Alex Ross" and "JLA: Liberty & Justice" Graphic Novel. Rupp's Comics will be one of a handful of tour stops in the country for a man not known for his public appearances. He prefers to let his work speak for itself, and what an aria they are singing today. This is Alex's first public appearance in the area (200 mile radius) in more than six years.

Chris Rupp, owner of Rupp's Comics, a guy known for getting the hard to get people in the comics and pop culture industry (Michael Turner, Pat Lee) to sit down and meet the public, has spent YEARS working out the details for this signing. "I almost gave up a couple of times, Chris says, every time we thought we had it, some kind of scheduling conflict would come up and it would all be put on hold. We kept at it though, I had hundreds of customers and contacts that had wanted this so bad, I just couldn't let the opportunity slip by."

Talks for this event started with Chris and Alex over 5 years ago, and have ranged everywhere from a small private signing all the way up to huge gala events. "I think we finally found a nice middle ground for both Alex and I, and I know all the fans in the tri-state area and beyond will be pleased." The signing will be held in-store at Rupp's Comics in Fremont, OH. "He will be here signing all of your favorite Alex Ross items. We are all set to keep him busy, he doesn't do this often and we will show him how many fans he has in this area," Chris says. "Who knows, this could become an annual event if the fans demand it; sooner than 5 years at least."
