August 19, 2004 (Pawtucket, RI) � DUEL MASTERS™, the newest entertainment property for boys from Hasbro, Inc.'s Wizards of the Coast division, has unleashed a clan of awesome creatures in the form of new action figures. These aberrant monsters, born first for the DUEL MASTERS trading card game and later featured on the popular Cartoon Network TV series, are now available in stores nationwide.
Hasbro's new DUEL MASTERS action figures are of two breeds: The 5" Figures Assortment feature are dramatically sculpted figures kids can use to recreate battle sequences from the trading card game and TV series. Each figure's power is reflective of one of the five DUEL MASTERS civilizations. The Creatures Assortment brings to life the true power of DUEL MASTERS with fantastic toy features such as spinning propellers and even a launching projectile.
Perhaps the most enthralling creature to premier this fall is the Super Bolshack Dragon. Standing 9" high with wings that expand to 18" and amazing sculpted details, he's a formidable creature! The Super Bolshack Dragon figure features voice recognition that triggers a ferocious growl and light-up arms.
Aside from the introduction of DUEL MASTERS action figures, Hasbro is also releasing the Kaijudo Master Flame Role Play hand, which supports kids in becoming superior duelists. Kaijudo Master Flame Role Play comes with a built-in deck box for trading cards, just like the ultimate duelist Shobu has, and kids can replicate duels they see on TV. With a quick flip of the "attitude switch," the hand lights up indicating the presence of the true Kaijudo Master powers. A card launcher, which can be placed on the hand, lets kids shoot their DUEL MASTERS trading cards just like in a real duel!
The DUEL MASTERS 5" Figure Assortment is priced at approximately $7.99, while the DUEL MASTERS Creatures Assortment will range in price from approximately $11.99 to $12.99.
