October 2004 - A series of action figures based on the incredibly popular Fullmetal Alchemist anime and manga - published monthly in Shonen Gangan magazine - is headed to the United States, and is available in North America exclusively through Diamond Comic Distributors!

Beginning this November, the animated Fullmetal Alchemist series on Cartoon Network will unveil the unique story of two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric. After the death of their mother, Edward and Alphonse attempted to use the forbidden science of human alchemy in an attempt to resurrect their lost parent. The alchemy carried a heavy price, as Edward lost his foot, and Alphonse sacrificed his entire physical body. In exchange for his own right arm, Ed is able to save his brother's soul inside of a huge suit of armor. Ed's natural talent for alchemy becomes legendary, and he is soon known everywhere as the Fullmetal Alchemist.

Coinciding with the launch of the animated series is this release of the main characters - brothers Edward & Alphonse Elric and their friend Winry Rockbell - as highly articulated and ultra-poseable action figures, standing 6"-6 " tall. Each includes bonus parts - such as removable jackets, hats, and more - and comes in window box packaging.

These figures are manufactured by Square-Enix - the video game juggernaut that brought the Final Fantasy series to the game world, and manufactured the best selling trio of Final Fantasy X action figures!
