August 24, 2005 - Montreal, QC - The creative geniuses of DC Direct sit down to discuss the process of turning inspiration into a finished action figure in this weeks 'HorCast', offered through free iTunes subscription or directly from www.horhaus.com.
"We added the podcast to our website a number of months ago in an effort to give fellow professionals and fans a candid look at how we write, illustrate, colour and publish our comic books," Karl Kerschl of horhaus.com points out. "I, for one am always curious about how other artists make creative decisions and choose the tools they use to execute their finished work. Why not give everybody a peek behind the curtain?"
In the case of this weeks 'HorCast', that peek involves something a little different from the usual comic book commentary - a look at the creation of action figures! Shawn Knapp, associate art director and sculptor Barsom take us behind the scenes of DC Direct, allowing us a candid glimpse into the world of sculpting and creating 3-D versions of Superman, Batman and the rest of the DC pantheon. Episode #16 of the HorCast, featuring DC Direct went live on Monday, August 22nd.
