PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Dec. 1, 2005 -- This month, MY LITTLE PONY'S newest holiday adventure, MY LITTLE PONY: A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS, nationally debuts on Disney television. The family-friendly, 44-minute animated film from Hasbro and Paramount Home Entertainment will air on Disney Channel on Dec. 5 and Dec. 22, both at 11 a.m. and back-to-back on Toon Disney on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. With multiple airings leading up to Christmas day, A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS is a great way for little girls to ring in the holiday season.
A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS follows the holiday adventures of MINTY pony as she tries to save Christmas for all of her pony friends after she accidentally breaks the "Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane" that shows Santa the way to Ponyville every year. The movie is also available on DVD at major retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $16.99 (VHS $9.95).

In October, A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS debuted in movie theatres nationwide through the Screenvision digital network as part of an initiative between the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc. and Kidtoon films. A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS is one of the new movies in Kidtoon Films' G-rated movie series, designed to bring family-friendly entertainment to local theaters.
MINTY and friends also make their way into a variety of entertainment and lifestyle channels for young girls. In publishing, HarperCollins will release A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS reusable sticker book, and Bendon Publishing will have coloring and activity books. Through Tokyopop's Jr. Cine-Manga, the A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS story will be available this fall. Genius will release A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS music CD for young music lovers, and Cosrich makes bath time fun with new MINTY bath sets. All MY LITTLE PONY toys, like the holiday SINGING MINTY plush, will be available through Hasbro.
