This series scared fans of this line. Because of its flat sales, it was feared that the line may have been reaching its end. Although no official information is available, several sources claim that this series of figures was produced in number greater than any previous series and that this was the reason that these figures seemed to hang around on the shelves so long. The only successful figure from this series was the Rogue figure. Despite its status as a Toy 'R' Us exclusive, the Senyaka figure has been severely devalued on the secondary market. This may be due to the release of the Senyaka figure with the Mutant Genesis series in 1995. However, the re-release of a figure on an entirely new card often increases the value of the original figure. This is apparently not the case with the original (short card) Senyaka figure. Overall, this was the worst selling series to date. All the figures (save for Rogue and Senyaka) can still be found at many retail outlets at clearance prices. A disappointing selection of minor characters, lackluster presentation and another Wolverine variation left many collector's scratching their heads.
