X-Men Joseph Recipe

This is a recipe for a custom Joseph figure. I thought the
Joseph figure from the Savage Land assortment sucked, so I
decided to make my own.
Ingredients
X-Men: Generation X Banshee figure, X-Men: Savage Land Joseph
figure; Das Pronto air-drying clay; acryllic paints: red, black, yellow, blue
(optional); sand paper or Dremel tool.
Procedure
-
First, remove the cape from the Banshee figure. Then, boil some water and
hold the figures' head in it for 15-30 seconds. Pull the heads off with a dish
towel. Set aside the Joseph head (we're gonna use it later).
-
Use sandpaper or Dremel tool and remove Banshee's kneepads and
those bolt things on his boots.
-
Using air-drying Das Pronto clay (any kind of clay will work, you can
use Super Sculpey too, but I recommend air-drying clay), fill in those
lines on Banshee's boots, and that gap in his belt. You can also use
the clay to build up some of the knee if you cut away too much.
-
Once the clay dries, apply the yellow paint over the boots. If you
can't match the shade of yellow on Banshee's costume,
use the yellow and
carefully paint all other yellow spots.
-
Apply the red paint to the belt once the clay dries. Be careful not
to paint any other part of the figure's body.
-
Optional: If you used clay to build up the knees, or used a
black costume Banshee figure, use blue paint to paint over
these spots.
-
Carefully paint the X symbol on the belt using black paint.
-
Spray the figure with acryllic sealer. Then take the Joseph head from
before and glue it on.
Editor's note: On his
web page, Thor292 also mentions that an X-men Morph
body would also work.
