Second Issue of Online Comic in Print for the Very First Time
Fans of The Adventures of Spawn, take notice: Part 2 of this action adventure will reach comic retailers this November in a full-color one-shot concluding the "Awakening War" storyline written by Jonathan David Goff and illustrated by Khary Randolph.

The Adventures of Spawn made its online debut as the very first Spawn.com Web comic to coincide with our Spawn: Series 30 & 32 toy lines. Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off, and includes the original characters -- and some new ones as well.

U.S. TROOPS IN IRAQ RECEIVE SPAWN COMICS AND TOYS

Several months ago, our Web department gathered a heap of comics and action figures, and shipped them out to some friends in the U.S. Navy Seabees, stationed in Al Anbar province in Iraq.

As a security team that escorts convoys all over western Iraq, Britton Wingfield (SW1 1st class, vehicle commander), John Pierce (SW2 2nd class, gunner), Chris Cheek (HM2 Corpsman, Paramedic), Mike Raulston (CM2 2nd class, driver) and Adam Dueer (SW1 Assistant Convoy Commander) also work security for some of the construction projects taking place. Working mostly at night, they manage to catch some winks in the hot afternoon, and spend the rest of the night driving a Cougar armored vehicle (which doubles as the team's medical platform) with the convoy.

A few weeks ago here at McFarlane headquarters, the new Spawn creative team held a creative summit. We had our cameras rolling, and have been posting exclusive interviews here on Spawn.com.

Spawn Issue #185 marks the beginning of a new era for the bestselling comic book. The new creative team - including Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, Image Comics co-founder Whilce Portacio, writer Brian Holguin and colorist Jin Han - will bring new energy to the book, and fans can look forward to an awesome new Spawn.
