MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS: THE INFINTY GAUNTLET FINE ART THEATRE

March 2009 - A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Fine Art Theatre is an innovative new concept which combines a comic book's key elements into a hyper-detailed, three-dimensional collage. The first storyline to take the Theatre stage is Jim Starlin, George Perez, and Ron Lim's cosmic classic THE INFINITY GUANTLET.

This phenomenal piece is unlike anything ever produced, as it incorporates over seventeen different characters from the Marvel Universe into one incredibly detailed sculpture. Spider-Man, Iron Man, a bearded Thor, and Captain America are enveloped in Dr Strange's mystical cloud, the Silver Surfer streaks to the forefront, Adam Warlock stands at command, while a larger Thanos raises the six Infinity Gems above his head as the dramatic centerpiece of the sculpt. Each character is rendered in near-inconceivable detail (just look at the pattern on Strange's cape) by master artisan Keiji Iwakura.

If the figural sculptures are not extraordinary enough, the massive base is Thanos temple built to honor Death herself, with ornate skulls and brickwork throughout. The most impressive part may be the relief mural assemblage of the Cosmic Entities of the saga: Galactus, Living Tribunal, Uatu The Watcher, Lord Chaos, Master Order, Mistress Love, Sire Hate, Chronos, and The Stranger. All of which make this masterpiece fascinating viewing from any angle that you choose.

The Infinity Gauntlet Fine Art Theatre stands almost 10" tall and is comprised of cold cast porcelain material, and is a numbered, limited edition. The detail in this diorama is simply stunning and it will certainly be the crown jewel in your Marvel collection.
