WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 -- AnotherUniverse.com, a wholly owned CMI Holding Group company, today announced that it has launched Toy Drive 4 Kids (http://www.toydrive4kids.com), an online toy donation website in cooperation with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Anacostia site for the 2001 Holiday Season Toy Drive.
Individuals wishing to make new toy donations to needy children anywhere in the greater Washington D.C. area from Baltimore, MD to Fredricksburg, VA can visit the website, fill out an online form and a low cost, high quality, new toy will be sent from a local warehouse site directly to a Toys For Tots distribution center for holiday delivery. Over 200,000 toy requests have already been received by the Toys For Tots organization for local needy children.
"We are very excited about being able to provide the means so that
generous, yet busy shoppers can donate toys with minimal stress this year," said Ross Rojek, CEO of CMI Holdings Group. "We wanted to significantly expand our yearly toy drive participation and are delighted to officiate the perfect marriage between technology and one of the finest local philanthropic organizations."
"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Toy Drive 4 Kids to reach even more children this year than last year's efforts which provided more than 127,000 toys to the local area," said SSgt David Zeltwanger, Co-Coordinator of the Washington DC Metropolitan Area Toys for Tots Program.
"This year we wanted to reach out and expand our services as much as possible, and AnotherUniverse has provided a whole new avenue of approach for our program."
The ToyDrive4Kids website features low cost, high-quality toys from manufacturers such as Marvel, McFarlane, Harry Potter, Razor and Pokemon.
