Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius R/C Ultra Orb

Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius Radio Control Ultra Orb

FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 5 -- Just in time for holiday shopping, RadioShack Corporation is the exclusive retailer of a radio control toy from the new movie, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius"(TM) and the only retailer participating in the "Jimmy Neutron Give Me My Space" sweepstakes.

"We are expecting 'Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius' to be a hit, so we are excited to offer a radio control toy from the movie that consumers can only purchase at RadioShack," says Joel Carter, vice president of marketing of RadioShack's Connecting Things strategic business unit. "The unique stunts that the Ultra Orb can perform will make it very popular with kids and their parents."

RadioShack's "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius Radio Control Ultra Orb" looks just like one of the futuristic vehicles seen in the movie. The included 7-function remote allows the user to command the Ultra Orb to perform quick and wild stunts, roll along, spin around, tumble and do side-spinning stunts on its side rollbar, and it is driven by Jimmy Neutron. The battery-powered Ultra Orb is 12-1/2 inches long, and can travel up to 550 feet per minute.

The Ultra Orb is suggested for children ages 6 and older and retails for $39.99.

"Nickelodeon is thrilled with the marketing and promotional support RadioShack has put behind the Ultra Orb," said Pam Kaufman, senior vice president of promotions marketing for Nickelodeon. "The program promotes not only the toy but the 'Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius' movie, which we expect to be a big hit with kids this holiday season."

The "Jimmy Neutron Give Me My Space" sweepstakes is open to children between the ages of 5 and 15. The grand-prize winner and three friends each receive a 5-day/4-night trip (including airfare and hotel accommodations) to San Jose, Calif., special admission to Paramount's Great America theme park, and $1,000 spending money. First-prize winners receive a "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius Radio Control Ultra Orb" stunt machine from RadioShack. Second-prize winners receive the "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" movie soundtrack from Jive Records and the "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" PC CD-ROM game from THQ. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win.

The "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius Radio Control Ultra Orb," as well as contest rules and the official mail-in entry forms for the "Jimmy Neutron Give Me My Space" sweepstakes, are available at RadioShack's 7,300 stores and participating dealers nationwide.

"Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" tells the simple story of a boy, his robot dog, battling evil, rescuing his parents, saving the Earth, and returning home in time for dinner. As a kid who just happens to be a genius, Jimmy is always creating gadgets to make his life more interesting. Jimmy has a great sense of fun and adventure, but his inventions get him into trouble more often than not.
