MIAMI, Aug. 29 -- Jimmy Neutron's rocket ship has landed at BURGER KING(R) restaurants nationwide, creating an atomic buzz for BURGER KING(R) Big Kids this back-to-school season. For four weeks beginning September 2, 2002, five gravity defying, inter-connectable toys, inspired by the most anticipated animated television series this year, will be available in Big Kids Meals at participating BURGER KING(R) restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.
"Jimmy Neutron has reached kid-world superstar status by inspiring kids with his creative inventions," said Rick Dow, senior vice president, marketing programs and sales, Burger King Corporation. "The BURGER KING(R) Jimmy Neutron toys allow kids to be inventive, just like their favorite boy genius."
While America's most loved cartoon kid inventor launches into living rooms across the country on Nickelodeon this September, Big Kids can use the new BURGER KING(R) toys to join Jimmy and his friends as they blast into space. There are five super stellar collect-and-connect toys -- one per Big Kids Meal -- including Jimmy Neutron's Rocket, Libby and Sheen's Sonic Spinner, Carl's Swamp Buggy, Gotta Dash Goddard and Hot Rod Cindy.
"The excitement for the Jimmy Neutron series is incredible and the promotion with BURGER KING(R) is a perfect way for Jimmy's biggest fans to extend the fun at home," said Pam Kaufman, senior vice president, marketing, Nickelodeon. "The new TV series already ranks among TV's top cartoon favorites -- even before its first broadcast."
