Rogue's Gallery Sunfire Bust
|
December 2002 - A Diamond Select Release - Ninth in the hot Rogue's Gallery bust series from Art Asylum, the Sunfire Bust is a departure from the previous lineup of Spider-Man villains.
Although the Japanese mutant is now a hero, he started off as a "villain," manipulated by his uncle to seek vengeance on the United States, the U.N., and the X-Men, over the death of his mother due to radiation exposure from the Hiroshima bomb.
Sculpted by Eli Livingston, Sunfire measures six inches tall and features a clear-cast base and shoulders, which simulate his fiery mutant abilities. Accompanied by a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity, Sunfire is limited to 3,500 pieces worldwide.
In stores in April 2003, with a suggested retail price of $45 USD.
