FREEHOLD, N.J. --Dec. 18, 2002 -- stereoscape.com, inc. announced today that toys marketed by its wholly owned subsidiary Marx Toys, Inc. were featured in the latest Motion Picture released by Disney Films, Santa Clause 2, which has already broken the 120 million mark after six weeks at the box office.
"Whenever your product line is in front of millions of viewers, its always a great thing especially for an old giant such as Marx," stated Steven Wise, stereoscape's Acting Chairman & CEO. In the film, Marx toys are debuted during a less than festive holiday faculty party, where undercover Santa, played by Tim Allen, saves the day and pulls out a sack of wrapped classic toys for the staff. Among those toys where Marx's The Green Ghost Game and Toss-A-Cross.
Wise has recently made it known that Marx Toys will be the company's new focus after less than desirable home theater sales in the past at stereoscape. He stated that his goal is to rebuild the Marx name and brand recognition among toy and hobby consumers.
