TOY STORY
TOY STORY, a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, was the first full-length animated feature ever created entirely in the new medium of computer animation. This groundbreaking film features the first appearances of Buzz Lightyear and Woody, voiced by Tim Allen ("Santa Clause 2," "Galaxy Quest") and Academy Award(R)-winner Tom Hanks(a) ("The Road To Perdition," "Forrest Gump"), respectively. The star-studded vocal cast includes legendary comedian Don Rickles as "Mr. Potato Head(TM)," the late Jim Varney as Woody's flexible canine friend "Slinky Dog," Wallace Shawn as the hilariously insecure dinosaur "Rex," John Ratzenberger as a delightfully pigheaded piggy bank named "Hamm" and Annie Potts as "Bo Peep," the beautiful lamp that is the light of Woody's life.
TOY STORY is directed by Pixar's John Lasseter, a two-time Academy-Award(R) winner (1996 "Special Achievement" TOY STORY). Randy Newman was Oscar(R)-nominated for Best Original Score and Best Song "You've Got A Friend in Me" (1996).
TOY STORY 2, a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, reunites the voice talents of Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, along with the original voice cast of Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Annie Potts, R. Lee Ermey, Laurie Metcalf and Jim Varney. TOY STORY 2, the 2000 Golden Globe-winner for Best Musical or Comedy, features a stellar line-up of new voice talent including Joan Cusack, Kelsey Grammer, Wayne Knight, Estelle Harris and Jodi Benson. Directed by Pixar's John Lasseter and co-directed by Pixar's Lee Unkrich, with Randy Newman again Oscar(R)-nominated for Best Song ("When She Loved Me" 1999).
