The company's original line of bbi Elite Force 1:6 action figures will continue to be marketed through online retailers and specialty outlets. "Although our new line is inspired by our collector Elite Force line, these items are being developed with a unique set of specifications for the mass market consumer," said Mike Murphy, new business development, Blue Box Toys.

The 1:18 scale line will include the Black Hawk, the Apache and Little Bird helicopters, the M1A1 Tank as well as modern military figures and accessories. "From the positive feedback we received from the media about our 1:18 scale line, we feel we are raising the level of quality and value of what is currently available at the mass market retail outlets," said Murphy.

bbi will also launch modified versions of its 1:6 scale figures. The 1:6 scale figures will sell at price points of $14.99, 19.99 and 29.99. The new venture into the market will be exciting for both collectors as well as young novices. "We'll be offering some different accessories with these figures so kit bashers and customizers can buy less expensive products and raid them for gear and accessories," continues Murphy. "As for novice collectors, they will be exposed to a quality line of merchandise that offers terrific value."
