Star Wars Figures Of A Different Kind Coming This Fall

 Fans of the old West End Games Star Wars role-playing game have been lamenting the passing of that classic game since it stop being produced some time ago. However, Wizards of the Coast, the Hasbro subsidiary best known for it's Magic:The Gathering trading card game, has a successor waiting in the wings for release this fall.The new Star Wars Role-Playing Game will launch with the release of the Star Wars Adventure Game in October, and the November release of the hardcover rulebook. Wizards of the Coast will also be supporting the new game with a full line of 30mm miniatures. The first wave of miniatures will be available in November in conjunction with the release of the rulebook. Each blister pack figure carries an SRP of $3.99. The miniatures will make cool collectibles, even for folks who don't play the games. - Battle Droid

Two boxed sets of miniatures, "Star Wars: Episode I Heroes " and "Star Wars: Episode I Villains and Scoundrels," will be released in December - just in time for holiday giving! Each set contains eight figures: Star Wars: Episode I Heroes (boxed set):Padme, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Jar Jar, and Captain Panaka.
