Sideshow Toy Amps Up With Spinal Tap

Finally, the loudest band in history has gone from an 11 (volume) to 12! Sideshow Toy, in conjunction with New Line Cinema and MGM, is proud to announce an upcoming line of 12" dolls of Spinal Tap band members from the movie, "This is Spinal Tap."The line will include lead guitarist Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), lead singer David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), and bass guitarist Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer). Featuring over 20 points of articulation and costumes from the movie's musical number "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight," these dolls are 'must haves' for fans and collectors alike. Each figure stands on a guitar pick base, and comes with rockin' accessories such as Nigel's amp knob that goes up to 11, a sketch pad of David's girlfriend with Zodiac illustrations and Derek's famous cucumber that set of airport metal detectors on their national tour! Each figure will also come with a collector guitar pick signed by the band member, and a 1/6 scale Tap album sleeve and cover. The Spinal Tap dolls will be released in September 2000 to coincide with the re-release of the "This is Spinal Tap" movie and the new DVD.
