DC Direct Wings Hawkman and Hawkgirl To Fans!

 DC Direct, the merchadising arm of DC Comics, is preparing to release their first deluxe 2 pack featuring action figures of Hawkman and Hawkgirl! Hawkman has been absent from the DC Universe for some time after several creative misfires, but DC Comics is preparing a big push for his return in the summer of 2000 in the pages of JSA (Justice Society of America) and his own mini-series. There will also be a hardcover Archive edition of classic Hawkman material. The action figure 2 pack comes in a window box, which is a first for DC Direct action figures. Both Hawkman and Hawkgirl have articulated wings, which expand to a 13" wingspan and feature a flapping action via a button on the back of the figure. Hawkman stands 6-1/8" tall, and Hawkgirl stands 5-7/8". The set comes with 2 pair of removable helmets, one for the Golden Age incarnation and the other for the Modern as well as shield and mace accessories. The Hawkman/Hawkgirl 2-pack is being advanced solicited in the December Previews for a projected June 21st release.
