Toys R Us Canada Launches Website

 Toys "R" Us Canada today announced its move into cyberspace with the launch of its all new Canadian Web site. Consumers north of the 44 parallel can visit Toys R Us on-line for information on the latest video game releases, hottest new toys, store locations and much more."Having a Canadian Web site allows our customers to access Canadian specific information about pricing, special offers and promotions," says Mary Zanette, Director of Marketing, Toys R Us Canada. "The new site will help our customers keep up with ever-changing hot selling games and toys." This first incarnation of the Toys R Us' Canadian Web site is not e-commerce ready, because the company will become part of the toysrus.com site later in 2001. "We want to make sure that distribution and the numerous other factors involved with on-line purchasing are seamless for the consumer," says Zanette. Toys R Us, the world's leading resource on kids, families and fun currently operates 1,543 stores: 707 toy stores in the United States; 469 international toy stores, including franchise stores; 201 Kids R Us children's clothing stores' 137 Babies R Us stores and 39 Imaginarium stores.
