SDCC: PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES COMICS COME TO DARK HORSE FOR THE BRAINS!

San Diego, CA, JULY 17, 2013 - Dark Horse Comics is thrilled to bring you the first official Plants vs. Zombies comics, released in a partnership with PopCap Games, creators of the smash hit video game Plants vs. Zombies. The first and second chapters are ready for you to read TODAY!

Paul Tobin (Marvel Adventures, Falling Skies) and Ron Chan (The Guild, Husbands) join forces with a bevy of battling plants to deliver a hilarious, all-ages, action-filled zombie romp to your neighborhood!

The six-issue miniseries will be available first digitally and will be collected in a beautiful hardcover available later this year. In conjunction with this epic release, Dark Horse has crafted a standalone iOS app for Plants vs. Zombies comics, which will be available for 99 cents and includes the first issue! As a special SDCC launch, the app and issue #1 will be free for the duration of Comic-Con International (July 17–July 21)!
