February 2, 2018 - This will come as a shock to no one at this point, but the boy did not want any fast food in January. We ate at a few regular restaurants, but did not go anywhere that required rolling down the car window.
Let's see what's out there in restaurants this month! (More after the jump)
A quick check of the web sites for the more popular fast food restaurants reveals the following:
- McDonald's has American Greetings Valentine's card kits as the goodies in their Happy Meals. The next promotion shown is Peter Rabbit.
- Sonic shows "surprise toys" in their Wacky Pack meals, so you could end up with something good from a recent past promotion, depending on what each location has in their back room.
- Burger King's kids meal web site features a joint promotion of Skylanders Academy and Mysticons toys. There are four toys from each license, so eight toys in total.
- The Chick-fil-A site shows five different Educational Insights games as the goodies in their Kid's Meals.
- The Carl's Jr. and Hardee's do not show the current toy promotion (it was supposed to be the Emoji Movie). Starting March 7th, the promotion changes to WWE.
No changes from last time at these restaurants:
- Subway Kids Meals have Coco backpack clips.
- The Captain D's web site does not show any toys in their kids meals at the moment.
- The Wendy's site has changed in the past few months and doesn't show the toy/activity at the moment. I could really go for some of their chili right now, how about you? A few years ago, our local Wendy's was named as "the Best Wendy's in the World." If the plaque is still up, I'll snap a picture for March.
- Arby's still doesn't show their toy promos on their site, but I see Oreo Bites on their menu and may need to go inhale some of those.
- Taco Bell has phased out Kids Meals and their Kids Menu. Most of the items will still be available on their regular menu, but will no longer be marketed as for kids, so really the only difference is that the toys are gone. Obviously I am still bitter about this.
