Was it printed after 1980?
The rules are simple: I'll post a small excerpt from a comic book cover. Each time I update, each player gets to ask one "yes or no" question ("Is this a Marvel or Fawcett comic?", "Was the comic published in or before 1990?", etc. - any question that can be answered with "yes" or "no") and make one guess as to both the name of the series and issue number of the comic. There's no set schedule for updates; I'll just update when I have time. First player to five points wins the round. And a note: the Grand Comic Database is an incredibly wonderful resource. =)

Marvel Mystery Comics #9
The yellow tinge to the hands was messing with me but thanks to a random google search, I found it.
Point for Sentinel: Marvel Mystery Comics 9, Bill Everett and Alex Schomburg. =)

Is the word police in the title of this book?
Is the word "Crime" in the title? Good lord, there are a ton of these things from the 40s and 50s.
EDIT: The comic "Crime Does Not Pay" features that tagline "Dedicated to the eradication of crime" from issue #60 through ... 76? But I can't find a cover that matches the swatch :/ Tried several of the one-shots and reprints but a lot of the covers are missing lol. I might give it another go but I'm betting someone else can find it first.

Is this from the first volume of its respective series (not a reprint, volume two, collected work, etc.)?
"A FORCE FOR GOOD IN THE COMMUNITY!" "CONFORMS to the COMICS CODE!" :b

Is Superman pictured on this cover?
Is Spider-man on the cover?
Spider-Man vs. Wolverine #1
Bah, nice job I was thinking the Kraven stuff but I hadn't had time to check it out yet.
Thanks for the clue. I knew I'd seen it before, but I was thinking it was Super-blue and not Spider-blue. I spent an hour going through old Superman, Supergirl and Superboy covers.
I was stuck on Superman too and google searches for comic book covers and gravestones, cemetery and tombstone. Nice work Clone Ranger.
=)
And with that Mark D. Bright cover, the Clone Ranger wins round three. Congrats. =)
