Rising Stars To Become Figure Line

 Rising Stars, a comic book series in which 113 children become superheroes, is the subject of a new action figure line produced jointly by Palisades Marketing and Dynamic Forces. Created by J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5), Rising Stars follows the adventures of dozens of children affected in utero by a mysterious comet that lands in a small, Illinois town, As the children grow, they develop a multitude of abilities and personalities. Like real-life children, they also have "real" issues and problems. Shipping this year, the first series of Rising Stars action figures features four characters. Three additional characters will be unveiled at Toy Fair. Palisades Marketing is an Ellicott City, Md.-based manufacturer of action figures, lunchboxes, statues and other collectibles based on properties such as Mortal Kombat, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
