Equity Marketing, Inc. Awarded $12 Million Promotions Program

Equity Marketing, Inc. announced today that it was selected to produce a consumer-based promotions program that includes the design and manufacturing of custom promotional products, development of a complementary interactive web site and management of related strategic and logistical services.The program is expected to generate $12.3 million in revenues, of which approximately half will be posted in the first quarter (ending March 31,2000), and the remainder recognized in the second quarter of 2000. The name of the client and additional program details were not disclosed due to proprietary reasons. "This program's interactive component represents an exciting new growth area for the company," said Don Kurz, Equity Marketing's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are consistently designing programs that connect our clients' physical and digital worlds. This is our fourth interactive assignment in as many months, and we continue to experience heavy demand for these services." Mr. Kurz added: "After concluding 1999 with record third and fourth quarters, we continue to be pleased with the strength of our business. Recent sales activity has outpaced that of any first quarter in our history."
