Toysite first came onto the action figure scene with their Legend of Zelda action figures that were released in conjunction with the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time video game for the Nintendo 64 platform.Toysite continues it's association with Nintendo with the release, later this year, of their new Mario's World action figure series. Mario's World is being designed as an umbrella license under which any Nintendo properties could be developed. Individual lines could then be spun out of Mario's World if there seems to be sufficient fan interest.
For example, Fox McCloud from Starfox 64, is in the first series of Mario's World. If Fox were to prove to be a breakout hit figure, there could conceivably be a seperate Starfox line down the road.
The first series, as the name implies, sees the world of Mario as it's main source of inspiration. 6 figures are planned for the basic assortment: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario, and Fox McCloud. There will also be 2 figures released in the Deluxe assortment: Chrome Mario, with floating and sinking action and Banjo Kazooie with flying and fist slamming action.
