Dark Horse Comics Launches Exclusive Comic Book Experience™ Application For Dynamics ePlate™ Credit Card Device
Dark Horse Gives Dynamics ePlate Users Exclusive Comic Book Content with Each Purchase
OCT 23, Portland, OR – Dark Horse Comics makes history again today with the national launch of the first comic book payments application for the battery-powered Dynamics ePlate™ credit card device. The innovative offering lets consumers earn exclusive Dark Horse digital comics with every purchase.
When the Dark Horse experience™ is selected, a consumer will earn a page from multiple ePlate™ exclusive comic book series for every $35 the consumer spends anywhere they use their Dynamics ePlate™ credit card device. The pages are delivered instantly to their mobile phone the second the purchase is completed. When all pages in a comic book series are collected, the consumer is mailed physical, collector-edition copies of each comic free-of-charge.
Consumers who use their ePlate™ credit card device to make purchases through Dark Horse's Digital store, http://TFAW.com, or one the Things From Another World retail stores will be credited double for their purchases.
The first five-issue ePlate™ exclusive series is Conan: The Phantoms of the Black Coast. The second exclusive issue is a ground-breaking team-up between Dark Horse favorites Captain Midnight, Ghost, and X.

"Comic book fans can now earn exclusive digital comic books just by making their normal, everyday purchases," said Mike Richardson, president and founder of Dark Horse Comics. "As soon a purchase is made, comic book pages are sent directly to your phone. So, now you can read your favorite digital comics while you are eating the lunch you paid for with the Dark Horse Experience on the Dynamics ePlate."
"A sweet spot on ePlate is the delivery of meaningful digital content backed by exclusive physical items," said Jeff Mullen, CEO of Dynamics. "Dark Horse has hit ePlate's sweet spot dead center with its experience™ application."
How It Works
ePlate™ is connected to an ecosystem of experience™ providers that each deliver an individualized brand experience, through an experience™ application, to the consumer. Prior to a purchase, consumers select multiple experience™ applications on their smart phone, tablet, or computer to port to their ePlate™ device. At the time of purchase, the consumer can use different buttons on their ePlate™ device to select different experience™ applications.
