- Mego began releasing Comic Action Heroes (CAH) in 1975; they are one of the oldest 3-inch action figure lines, second only to Fisher Price Adventure People
- All Comic Action Heroes feature bent legs, which is what differentiates them from Mego's Pocket Super Heroes line, which was an update of the Comic Action Heroes
- Although the sturdy Comic Action Heroes stand very well, each U.S. figure included an orange stand, also included with Mego's C.B. McHaul figures. Mego produced two different varieties of stands. Stands with larger feet holes were included with Hulk, Penguin, and Green Goblin - the rest of the figures' stands had smaller feet holes
- Penguin, Joker, and Shazam were the only Comic Action Heroes not updated as Pocket Super Heroes
- Pocket Super Heroes also added Lex Luthor, General Zod, and Jor-El
