Just as Galactus begins drawing in all the energy of the cosmos, the energy is diverted toward Doombase. The Heroes rush to Doom’s headquarters to find that the leader of the Villains has now become nigh-omnipotent by stealing the power of Galactus. Using this power, Doom confronts the Beyonder directly, stripping him of his powers and absorbing them himself. Doom is nearly defeated, but he narrowly escapes the wrath of the Beyonder, thus assuming all his powers and abilities. The newly recharged Doom announces that the war is over and he himself is the sole victor!
