It’s dinnertime for the devourer of worlds as Galactus gears up to consume the entire Battleworld. The Heroes struggle against it and are only mildly successful. Benjamin J. Grimm discovers an ability to transform back and forth from his human form to the ever lovin’ blue-eyed Thing while Spiderman begins to explore the potential of his new alien costume.

Reed Richards (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic) is granted a private audience with Galactus himself. As the Heroes stand ready to face off against Galactus again, the recently captured Dr. Doom has his own plans. Easily escaping from the Heroes’ confinement, Doom begins dissecting the Klaw in hopes of unraveling the secrets to Galactus’ ship for himself.

Drained from his battle with the Heroes, Galactus retreats to his Worldship and begins to consume his own homeworld to regain his strength. Additionally, it is feared that he will consume all other cosmic bodies in the vicinity in case the Big G needs to battle the Beyonder himself.

Fashioning lenses from the dissected Klaw, we find that Dr. Doom’s plans are far more ambitious than merely defeating Galactus. As this issue ends, we find Dr. Doom preparing to rob the Beyonder of his powers and become the most powerful being in the universe!
