They're new productions of the '03 commemorative TRU Optimus and '07 commemorative TRU Soundwave (so Optimus has short stacks and Soundwave has the double-cassette Soundblaster chest, Laserbeak, and Ravage), and they'll be available next month.
Even though I hate the chest, I'll probably bite on the Soundwave 'cause it'll display better next to MP Soundwave than the G1 version I got back in '84 (it's complete, but in really rough shape, and it's buried in a box in a closet somewhere at my mom's anyway).
I wish the G1 versions Cyclonus and Scourge would get reissued already.
If you have not seen it already check out the upcoming masterpiece edition of soundwave. It probably won't be too much more than the Riebe release of the original and is actually one of the most beautiful transformers ever made.
Edited for a double post. Sorry
I pre-ordered MP Soundwave from BBTS the first day it was available to pre-order. That's easily my most anticipated figure in quite some time. =)
mp soundwave is coming to tru at some point, isn't he?
I can't find any official confirmation of TRU getting MP Soundwave, but if I had to bet on it eventually happening, I would. The closest TRU to me's 30 miles away and it's relentlessly scalped, though, so I don't have much luck of ever getting it there if it is, though. :/
BBTS charged me for reissue Soundwave today, so I'll hopefully have it by the weekend. =)
I was charged for the Optimus reissue yesterday, but not Soundwave. They must have only received a partial shipment.
Was Optimus ever reissued w/long stacks? I have the Takara reissue MIB, but it's packed away & I don't recall if it had long stacks.
All of the Takara versions have long stacks, all of the Hasbro versions have had short stacks. Same is true for MP-01, but Hasbro's release of MP-10 has long stacks.

Now that I've got it in-hand, I'm really, really not a fan of the Soundblaster chest, but I expected as much. :/
