Superman isn't the only hero to come to Earth from a distant world. Supergirl was a native of the planet Argo, which was thrown out of orbit when its neighboring planet, Krypton, self-destructed. Already a teenager at the time, Kara In-Ze was frozen in a cryogenic tube for the long journey to Earth. She quickly discovered that our yellow sun had given her incredible super-powers nearly as great as Superman's. After learning the ways of our world, she joined the Man of Steel in his never-ending battle for truth and justice.
