Virtual On: Cybertroopers Figures
|
June 2002 - Two new figures from the hit Sega game Virtual On: Cybertroopers are headed towards toy shelves, and they are available through Diamond Comic Distributors.
Virtual On is one of the most popular lines of Sega games. The series, featuring mecha-style robots, has spawned three games, each more popular than the last. The success of the series continues to grow, and fans of the series and toy collectors alike will be rushing to stores to get their hands on the new Virtual On Action Figures.
Imported from Japan, both figures were sculpted for Kaiyodo of Japan by Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, whose previous works include the Monev the Gale Action Figure, and the Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA Units. The Apharmd One Man Rescue Action Figure features over 27 points of articulation and comes loaded with six different weapons (both hand-held and mounted), as well as a variant head and display stand. The Specineff Action Figure, based on the "DNA Side" version of the robot, features over 20 points of articulation (not counting the wings), and includes bazooka and scythe accessories, as well as a display stand for "in-flight" posing. Both figures are scheduled to ship in September 2002, and will be collectibles that no fan of video games, mecha, or unique collectibles will want to miss.
