Wow! Didn't see this coming at all. I have passed on all the other ThunderCats toys, but I'll be getting the MiniMates! Way to go DST!
Any other word on what there might be beyond this? It looks more like the classic Jaga. Given the Bandai line looks to be dead (launching the same stuff overseas without a single new item shown for domestic distribution spells pushing up daisies to me), a nice set of minis would be welcome.
No official word yet, but the assumption is this will be part of an SDCC exclusive four-pack from AFX to be revealed "soon." Nobody knows much beyond that. Seems like they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of getting the license for a one-and-done set, so maybe a line with three or four waves like they did with Ghostbusters, Halo, etc? If it is a line, we'll almost certainly see protos at SDCC.
As usual, lots of speculation and rumor-mongering over on MMMV if you're interested... 
Never been a big fan of Thundercats, but I hope these do well. With DST, there is a good chance they will get 90% or better of the team released before the line ends. My wish was for an Inhumans Boxed Set to finish out the team. Come on DST...we only need Triton, Karnak, Gorgon, and Medusa. Maybe Crystal in a TRU 2 Pack down the road.

My dream Minimates line is actually a reality. That is unless this is a dream or someone is playing a cruel, cruel hoax. After seeing the Thundertank last night, I immediately set money aside for it. Now I just have to be lucky enough to track one down.

Agreed. The Cats look great, but I never expected something like Snarf, as well.
Amazing set; hopefully we'll get some of the baddies like Jackalman and such. I wonder if the Snarf body has separate pieces so it can be re-worked into a Berbil?
