Right now, I have a Vintage Collection A New Hope Darth Vader (VC93), driving a Chevron cars, Disneyland Autopia Dusty car, on display. I couldn't resist. Star Wars and Darth Vader are, well, 'nuff said, and Autopia is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland (mostly b/c I keep reassuring myself that my 4 year old girl has 12 more years to dramatically improve her driving skills before I have to get in a real vehicle with her, on a real highway). Scale wise, it worked out perfectly as Vader looks appropriately huge and uncomfortable, crammed into the little car. But the new leg/hip articulation makes him sit on the little seat and the arm/wrist articulation has Darth expertly grasping the tiny steering wheel, correctly, at 10 & 2. Just interested in what other wacky combos are out there?
I just happened to get the Muppet Labs playset around the time I got the DCD Super Friends Aquaman. And ever since Bunson and Beaker have been holding the poor guy on their lab table. And this was prior to the Justice series that had Brainiac doing the same thing.
My son and I will bust out just about any combination we are in the mood for at the time. IH Blue Beetle flying the Amp suit from Avatar, clone wars figures in the HISS tank or Thundercats ruling from the Imaginext Batcave. I have always loved mixing and matching.
I have Puss in Boots fighting Darth Vader...
Neca TMNT vs Predator.
New Vintage Darth Vader vs. Mangelz (Trash Packs series 1).
or
Lego Black Pearl and crew vs. ROB the Robot.
(That's actually on my dresser not my shelf though.
