Those 2 look pretty nice. Wonder if they'll focus solely on current looks or span the various ages. I'd say they put Infinite Heroes to shame, but bootleg figures put Infinite Heroes to shame.

The link below is to the DC Collectibles press release where they mention G4 getting a "first look". Check it out for a cool possible addition to this line:

So this is the new DCD right? They finally do 3 3/4 DC right and it's con exclusive scale?

Not sure if I'm more irritated by this announcement or the Marvel Now comics change up I saw on marvelousnews.

I hope they make it to toy stores. Wow....I can only imagine what cool things would come out.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed that it's Con-Only.
They look great ... I'd buy them at retail or at my local comic shop if they were available.

PASS!!!

I'm tired of the way Mattel and DCD treat their fans, so I'm done with any new lines. I still want a few more DCUC figures, but I refuse to begin AGAIN in another scale. I refuse to pay a markup for a SDCC exclusive, and I hate the shiny vac-metal green of their uniforms. Watch, the other lanterns will have regular green paint uniforms that will never match these.

Sorry DC, you've burned this bridge one time too many. Nice sculpts, but this line will only bring more frustration than it's worth.

If they are the same height as Hasbro's lines, I'm in. Short like DCIH? Pass.

Seriously, F*&K this. A convention-only line? So each 3 3/4" figure, after scalper prices, will cost about as much as Mattel is gouging us for six inch MOTUC figures? Screw that. This line was designed to fail.

Holy wasted potential, Batman!

Seriously-- as a con-only line this is nothing but scalper bait. I'm beginning to suspect that licensing with Mattel is the REAL culprit here.

Wow. This just sucks. Seeing some Preview Night Pictures of this line, they are doing the full gambit of Rainbow Lanterns and additional GLs. Highlights are Bleez and Soranik Natu. And of course Saint Walker (I love the Blue Lanterns).

If this is indeed a con only line, that is just going to suck. And, if it succeeds, then how many other companies will try this.

Ugh!!

-Kyle Rayner & Kilowog (SDCC Exclusive)

John Stewart & Atrocitus (NYCC Exclusive)

-Debate on whether to make the playset (they are still looking about what pricing will be)

-For now, the SDCC & NYCC sets are the only ones made for release, but if SDCC set sells out this weekend (and the NYCC set at that show), then DCC will move forward with the line, including all the Green Lantern prototypes on display (Hal, Atrocitus, Saint Walker, Bleeze, etc).

Another site was saying that the "con only" status isn't set in stone; if these do well at SDCC, they might consider making them more widely available.

This definitely needs to be the case. I'm not starting something I know I'll never be able to finish. Even if they only sell them online, I think they'd do well.

I would be all over these at regular retail, or if they could be had for a decent price at my local comic shop like the DC Direct figures were.

But I don't go to the conventions and I'm not about to go to the expense of getting these things on the secondary market.

agreed. i'm not a huge fan of the scale, but the figures they showed looked incredible.

I don't mind. I'll pay more for better quality plus scalpers are SOL if it's an online deal. Win/Win.

They look great.
And the character selection is fantastic. All big names, all important. Only really would want Star Saphirre, Sinestro, Indigo 1 and Salaak and I'd be a happy boy. How long has Mattel been at it, and with a year of GL being the big hot thing, and they've never come close to this roster.

I'd be a happy camper if I did this scale. As it is, I'm a big fan of GL who's kinda sad that the 6" figs don't look this nice.

I like Star Wars quite a lot actually, but my taste in movies is not relevant to this topic of conversation.

Sorry actually talking to Global. He said he wasn´t a fan of the scale which is presicely what Star Wars is at.

had the sculptor who did atrocitus sculpt in the booth sunday. he said that the atrocitus set sculpt is better then this set and from the few they have done so far, are getting better. kind of like when star wars started in 95. look where they are now... from what he describe and the pics I saw, they are finally getting up to mu level and beyond. most of you should be pleased how they turn out.
