New Marvel Universe comic packs are out at TRU!
Stumbled across the new TRU-exclusive comic packs last night in Peoria, IL. Bought the Doom/Spidey set and left the Spidey/Rhino as the Spidey isn't all that different and I already own a darker version of that Rhino from the individual Spider-man line.
$20 is a bit steep now but Doom in white just looks awesome.
BTW-- is the FF STILL wearing white in the current issues of the series or have they reverted back to blue?
Another three 2-packs are hitting Targets now in PA, NJ and probably elsewhere. Wolverine/Hulk, Colossus/Unmasked Juggernaut and Iron Man/Mandarin.
Had had no luck at TRU and have had to battle Employee Pluckers at 3 different Target to finally get the Hulk and Mandarin Sets. One Target had the terrible Helmetless Juggernaut and Flat Gray Colossus along with the peg warmers. The 2nd Target had 2 Mandarin Sets and the old repacks. And finally, the 3rd Target had 1 Hulk and 1 Mandarin sets out of the "new" sets. The worse part of the case packout is that it guarantees the 3 re-packs will clog the shelves with the previous peg warmers and prevent further restocks. One Target has 6 Spidey and Captain Britian sets with no chance of getting anything new unless those disappear. And I know there are pluckers from checking there after work and there being a couple of sets on the pegs and then checking in the morning and the sets had been stocked with the new sets missing.
Saw these today and as much as I wanted spidey from the doom set, I couldnt justify $22 with tax for the lone spidey I wanted.
I saw the TRU sets yesterday. 3 or 4 of each @ $18.99. I actually like the Spidey that comes w/the Rhino set, but I don't care for Rhino's lack of knee articulation.
