Just curious if any of you guys have a cool shop with lots of import items and happens to have either Max Factory Guyver 1 (either of the two versions) or Guyver 3, and depending on the price be willing to pick one up for me? All the ones on eBay are from over seas and I'd just rather not deal with that. I somehow forgot that these awesome things exist and realized it would blow my best friend's mind if I got him one for Christmas.
I did a quick search and Amazon.com does have a few of the Max Factory Guyver figures, but they are asking the sucker price for nearly all of them (Neo-Zxtole seemed kinda reasonable). These figures are several years old now, were never produced in large numbers and are imports to boot, so I'm afraid that unless you're willing to pay ALOT of money your friend will have to go without.
They are great figures. It took me years to get them all, and at their current rate of production, it will take years to finish the line (and there's only one left!).
If you were willing to deal with over seas dealers there's always Amazon Japan

I'm aware of the prices, it's the dealing with overseas sellers I'm not entirely comfortable with.
Hi Colossus Prime,
I believe I might be able to help you in this. Just want to ask which country are you staying right now?
If you are in Singapore you may want to give me a call or sms me for the price; as I have decided to give up my collection on the Guyver Max Factory Collection.

I can't help you, but I do have those MF Guyvers 1-2 & Murakami on my shelves. (The monster figures had limited appeal to me.) I had unusual foresight (for me) to snag these when they were fresh on the market. They are terrific pieces! A bit small (for the money) & frail for my tastes, but extremely well-articulated.
They come with several accessories, interchangeable hands, sonic blades, etc. They also come with stands. My only suggestion/complaint: I wish the (large, hollow) stand bases contained a drawer, perhaps, where all these extra bits could be stored along with the displayed figure. Seems like a small thing to add...
Max Factory is starting to do Guyver again as part of the figma line. http://myfigurecollection.net/item/144346
