Has Hasbro Toy Shop always had listings for toys that are only viewable after using their search tool?
I had been checking on and off for the new G.I. Joe Budo/Kwinn wave and figured if I bookmark the brand page that eventually the items would show up. During one of my visits, the page had the same old items, but under the recommendations at the page bottom, I saw a figure from the new wave and clicked it. Long story short, the only way you could find the wave is to type "Retaliation" in the search box.
Same thing for the new Avengers line and the new Marvel Universe wave, they don't show up when you visit the "Marvel" brand page, but they appear when you type in "Avengers" or "Universe" respectively.
At least I got the Joes I wanted, mind you these are pre-orders, but at least now I don't have to haunt the toy aisles and leave empty-handed.
those listings were up since just after sdcc. some are already sold out, which I cant fathom as to why. they haven't been up for pre or regular sale yet.
I'm not sure if you are referring to the Joes the Marvel Universe stuff or the Avengers items, but the Joes have all been available for pre-order since last Thursday, sold out, and been available again, especially the army-builders.
The Marvel Universe stuff, is a little weird in that you have the series 4 figs alongside their re-numbered series 5 counterparts, but Rhino and series 5 Nova have been available and sold out as well. Mysterio, Black Spidey, series 5 Silver Surfer, and Elektra have been "Coming Soon" since last Thursday. As for the Avengers stuff, they've all been available for pre-order and briefly sold out.
Bottom line, I think HTS is worth staking-out if anybody's having a hard time finding these figures.
