Custom McFarlane Sports Figures

Hello everyone,
My name is Chris and I just joined the forum. I've also just started customizing McFarlane sports figures. I ran across someone that asked me if I could redo a custom they have but I am not sure how to go about removing the custom paint job. Any ideas?

If sealant was added you'll probably want to start with a really, really fine sandpaper and then some sort of light paint remover. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge of paint removers so I can't suggest a brand or type.
