I really liked a lot of what I saw in different lines and thought it was rather diverse this year. That being said:

5. The new MOTU characters..the 3 that include TG's new character, the Dragon Guy and the armored blue figure. They look great and even though I have no idea who they are, I want them.

4. Arn Anderson in the Mattel WWE Classic Matty Assortment. A founding member of the Four Horsemen and one of the most underestimated wrestlers of all time, The Enforcer is finally coming. Otherwise, I found Mattel WWE to be rather underwhelming.

3. TF Generations/ Old School Shockwave...finally. He looks great and is long overdue.

2. The Halo McFarlane line. It looks like they have a new 3 3/4" scale coming with vehicles in addition to a more detailed larger scale to compete with Square Enix. Simply awesome. I can't pin down an item so to speak, but if they proceed with a 3-4" scale line with the same level of quality that GI Joe offers, I will be hooked.

1. Marvel Universe and the 3 3/4" line: Hasbro continues to improve the quality of sculpt and character selection. The added bonus of vehicles that is coming with The Avengers line is icing on the cake. While I love the new ML shown, the MU is just as detailed and even more affordable.

Honorable mentions go to some items that had all ready seen and known about such as the DC Knightfall 2 pack, some of the new GI Joe line and new Vintage Star Wars.

Having only skimmed through the pics from various sites so far, here goes:

1) Joe Colton Bruce Willis figure from G.I. Joe: Retaliation -- IT'S JOHN FREAKING MCCLAINE!!!!
2) singled carded Hulk from Marvel Universe - they finally got him RIGHT in this scale!
3) Lego Deadpool - C'mon-- who doesn't love this!
4) Matty Collector Snake Men 2-pack -- JUST AWESOME!
5) ???

So far I don't have a fifth favorite piece--- yet.

My five favorite Toy Fair items so far:

1) The remaining JLU figures!! Super excited to get Beetle, Guy, Toyman, Dr. Destiny and Mongul. Not thrilled to have to buy a few more Batmen and Wonder Women to get the last of these, but happy to "get them all"

2) Vintage Star Wars - characters I've been waiting to see made/redone for years: Weequay, Kithaba (Barada), Death Squad Commander (too bad he's not grey), Nein Numb, Skiff Lando, Nikto - some very fine figure offerings for an OT fan like myself.

3) Marvel Universe - this is a line I collect spotilly, but glad to still be getting Alpha Flight and Secret Wars based characters this long into the line's life.

4) Lego Monster Hunters - Skeleton Horse-drawn carriage. What's not cool about that?

5) Presidential Monsters - I don't collect 'em, but I'm just happy inspired goofiness like this still exists in the world.

In no particular order...

1) Marvel Select Nightcrawler. I've always been a huge X-Men fan wth Nightcrawler being one of my favorites.

2) DC Direct's Batman: Arkham City. Yup. The whole series. It all gets a tie as one. Hey, my list, my rules! Smile

3) Movie Masters Bane. He looks badass!

4) Nick's TMNT Dogpound. Some of my favorite characters in the original Turtles lines were the original characters. This seems to be in that same vein, and I'm cool with that! Sgt. Bananas? C'mon! Too cool!

5) WWE Legends DDP. I grew up in the heyday of the Monday Night Wars. This is simply a nostalgic piece for me.

Runners-up:
Revelations Ezio by NECA
DC Direct Parademon
NECA's Friday the 13th ad Nightmare on Elm Street lines.
NECA's awesome Evil Dead line.
Marvel Select Amazing Spidey and Lizard

As I said in another post.....this hasn't been an underwhelming Toy Fair....but there hasn't been anything to make me go "Oh, wow!", either. Nothing of huge surprise.

1. Square Enix Batman - I'm glad to see the line is expanding. I'm suspect a Catwoman is in the works. A display with Batman & Catwoman on one side and Joker and Harley on the other would be great!

2. DCD Arkham - This line continues to put out new characters. The freeze looks really nice.

3. McF Halo - The ODST Drop Pod looks nice. The new Master Chief looks odd. Too much of a departure unless it is explained as being based on the technology gleamed from the Legendary Planet.

4. Good to see that Lego Friends is already expanding. My daughter is enjoying this line.

1. The MU wave consisting of NIGHTHAWK (wanted this guy for many years.), Hercules, Angel and Puck.
2. Rocket Red in the DCIE-It sucks to have to pay for a sub figure and I'm guessing a deluxe sized one at that but I will likely do it as I've wanted this guy since the 80's.
3. SW Nien Nunb-So glad they are redoing this guy. I loved the vintage figure as a kid. Never sure just why but he was a favorite for years. The new figure looks amazing. Can't wait.
4. Retaliation Roadblock and Joe Colton-nice looking figures although I'm not sure which weapons they will actually have
5. New TMNT-These look really cool and are they smaller scale than any of the other lines? The shot with the guy's hand made them look around 4" tall.

1. Lego LOTR Minfigs. While I'm not crazy about some of the sets, the detailed minifigs are fantastic.
2. Classic TMNT. These are a dream come true.
3. Lego Monster Fighters Vampire Castle. One of the neatest sets I've seen in some time.
4. Mezco Panthro. I might try to resist this, but that's a perfect representation of the character--I hope a Bandai classic Panthro is released soon and is just as good.
5. So much Avengers goodness.

Does he come with a LaParka mask? Smile

My dad, brother and I will go to bat as that being one of the greatest moments in recent wrestling history.

Alphabetically...

DCUC Poison Ivy (yowza)
Marvel Legends U.S. Agent
Munsters Driver Herman
Munsters Mad Scientist Grandpa
Transformers Generations Shockwave

Marvel Legends Blade just missed the cut. I also liked WWE Legends Arn Anderson and King King Bundy. The new series TMNT might have been 1-4 if the release figures looked like the proto pics. As they are, I'll probably stick with my 2003 Turtles and perhaps supplement with a character or two from the new line. The concept drawing for Baxter Stockman looks good, for example. That said, I liked the Classic Turtles more in the show pics than I did in the protos.

I loved seeing Munsters Eddie & Marilyn and Marvel Legends Arnim Zola, too, but we'd seen them already.

Though the figures are, as always, well done, I don't want a single MOTUC figure shown so far this year. Keep an eye on the AFI blogs for more on that soon.

Just curious, how come? Are they not a part of the Classic MoTU line up or that you don't like the character choices?

I know nothing about the characters themselves, but think they look great. I was wondering of they were actually a part of original MoTU continuity though.

None of the 30th Anniversary figures were part of the original line or any previous continuity. It's not just them, I don't want, though; I don't want any of the MOTUC figures announced for this year, so far. But I still consider myself a collector of the line.

Why? Keep your eye on AFI...

That rates right up there with the reveal of Ciclope as Dean Malenko from what was that? Slamboree?

1. Remaining JLU - so awesome and the surprise Toyman/Firefly/Dr. Destiny pack... just amazing. Granny Goodness is the only figure I am sad we never got in this line.

2. Club Infinite Earths - wow! Poison Ivy, Mirror Master, Black Mask... all so great. Hopefully everyone will be all in for 2013 now.

3. Joe Colton and Blind Master from GI Joe - amazing looking figures and never done before characters.

4. TDKR - Bat Signal - another amazing piece we have always wanted and we're finally getting it!

5. MOTUC Snake Men 2-pack - what a cool an unexpected army builder set. I hope 2013 brings a Horde Trooper set.

The only thing at Toy Fair that really interested me was the Transformers Fall of Cybertron line so I guess just take Shockwave as number 1 and grab any random figure as the rest of the five.

Since ToyFair isn't over, this could still change.

1. Fall of Cybertron Shockwave. I guarantee I will own multiples of that figure.
2. LEGO Deadpool. Minimates did it better, but the 7 yr. old Nebraska NEVER would have thought such a crossover would happen.
3. TMNT Classics. You can't have 1 w/o the others.
4. (Slot reserved for Minimates)
5. (Slot reserved for Thundercats Classics)

Honorable Mention goes to Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime & G.I. JOE Retaliation Snake Eyes.

There's been a lot of great stuff shown, but fortunately for my wallet, I've gotten very selective in what I buy from most lines. If I collected MU, Legends, DCUC, or MOTU, I'd be in trouble. Smile

That said, Minimates are going to be slaying my budget this year...

1) Brood army builder
2) Outback-era X-men
3) Bulked-up Rhino
4) Walking Dead

And then, to round out my GL shelf...

5) JLU Guy (or at least the ability to buy him after all!)

And, and honorable mention, as it was not technically shown at TF...

6) Figma Link! SO awesome!

Here's my list.

1. Mezco 3&3/4" Mars Attacks Martian

2. Diamond/EMCE Retro Creature From The Black Lagoon

3. BBP Gold & Silver Cylon

4. BBP Bionic Bigfoot

5. BBP Dalek

I'd like to add to my list...just got word from DST...we will be getting 7 inch Expendables action figures...first series is Stallone, Statham, and Li. Ohhhh.....ohhh my. That has me excited. If I get Lundgren, Norris, Crews, and Austin....I'm ....yeah. Wow.

Actually, overall I'm impressed with Diamond/Marvel Select.

Their Munsters/Universal lines look incredible too1

Wow! Admittedly, I did not check the DST coverage as I am still pissed off at how BSG was handled.

Wonder if Randy Couture is possible being he had a license deal with Jakks/UFC...

Off to check DST coverage...

5.5 G.I. Joe Jinx - again, 1 figure I want this year for Joe and it's an exclusive, so I probably won't end up with it
5. Mirror Master and Jay Garrick DCUC
4. Walking Dead Minimates
3. Transformers Shockwave
2. MU Death's Head (plus the cosmic figures announced)
1. Lego Deadpool

I'm loving the diversity of answers here.

A year ago, the majority answer would have been "DC Universe".
