Today's Matty sale 02/15
Bought Fisto in less than a minute. Fastest Matty order for me ever.
I just ended up with a Sorceress and *gasp* Fearless Photog. I have no memories of the contest he was from but he looks like a pretty interesting robot dude.
So... am i the only one here who got the weirdo?
I got Fisto in and out. Definite improvement Mattel!!
Now lets see if he ships on time or if I have credit card fraud. ; )
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade (because we all like different things) but Fearless Photog is the last figure I'd buy from MOTUC. And the knight type figure they showed at TF...that would have been a pretty cool figure if the gave him more knightly colors and not color him like Grover from Sesame Street. Maybe white armor with gold and/or silver highlights, or black and silver armor with red highlights...but "Grover" blue....come on.
I would love to see a line of repaints (with slight tweeks) determined and designed by the 4H with the idea of giving more realistic colors to each figure. I'd sign up for a subscription just for the "4H repaint" line. They can start with King Randor.
Crap! Totally forgot about the sale today and missed Fisto!
Oh well, off to Ebay I go...
All I needed was Sorceress, and I got her in under a minute. With her and the select others I've gotten from the original King Grayskull through Sorceress, I've gotten every figure I've wanted (including my wife's much coveted She-Ra and Swiftwind) and can rest until they announce a cool Ram Man or Horde Trooper. Whew!
It's as close to a sure thing as it gets that Ram Man will be next year's sub exclusive; with the rampant problems and incompetence of the last few months on Matty, I can't see any other way of enticing people into the sub this August.
Sadly, I subscribe now, don't want any of the figures on tap for this year, but would subscribe again to get Ram Man.

I agree with as many problems that they have had in the past 3 months and all the complaints and offerings with people saying they wont get a sub next year, this will be what happens! I mean seriously they have had Frosta slated in the line BEFORE Ram Man? I dont mind the PoP figures but I would like to have all of the Masters first!! Though SDCC exclusive could be Ram Man OR MekaNeck for all we know.

I think part of their reasoning (whether right or wrong) is that they want to bring out the Masters slowly to make sure interest in the line continues. While I don't think Ram Man will be the exclusive sub figure for next year, I'm not horribly surprised they're waiting until the end of 2012 or 2013 to release him. They've said before that they want a slow roll out of the main characters. I'm pretty anxious for him, too. He was one of my first three He-man figures when I was a kid and always a favorite.
Done properly, Ram Man is also going to require a lot of new tooling, most of it likely one-off, so I think that, along with Mattel's desire to keep people hooked, tends to suggest he will be a sub figure.
