I think that speaks volumes about how poor Fun publication has handled this entire situation.
On a bright note, I'm happy with Mattel again. Fisto is a work of art!
Yeah, I think that's what you call a smokescreen. "If you thought what happened to us was bad you should see what happened to iTunes! In fact they might even be the source of this! Everyone uses iTunes right?"
When a supermarket I shop at had their CC#s stolen they contacted the issuers of every CC in their database and told them what happened and asked them to reissue cards for the some million cards across all of their chains. The company that manages Fun Pub's accounts couldn't do the same? I imagine there are a lot of people who have moved on and have no idea what going on with the company.

Yeah, I'm somewhat sympathetic to their plight but I had the same thoughts when reading this last email. Their PR efforts have been abysmal.
It's been enough to convince me to pass on the Joe sub. I don't know when some of these folks are going to learn that dealing with issues like this badly is going to have a direct effect on your bottom line, as Matty is beginning to find out. Mistakes and hacks happen on every site at some time or another; what makes the difference is HOW the site handles it. This has been handled poorly.
I definitely agree about the sub.
I was really on the fence with the Joe sub leaning towards getting it, then all the delays started the little voices in my head telling me the sub was going to be a nightmare. Now all this has, without a doubt, sealed the fate of the sub for me. They could offer Sgt. Slaughter in it and I wouldn't touch it.
