I'm kind of torn...the 6-inch line from Mass Effect 2 line from Deep Fish (coming after ME 3 for whatever reason) are basicly statues but they have a lot of variety, character wise. Grunt, Thane and Mordin look awesome. Some don't look as good, like Tali, Garrus and shrunken head Miranda. They also committed the ultimate sin and made Garrus unable to hold and aim his sniper rifle!
On the other hand, Play Arts Kai is doing superposable Mass Effect figures, though only 3 and two are wasted on human characters. Yeah, I know Shepard is the main character but it's the vanilla version and we've gotten plenty of generic guy in space armor figures from various game franchises. The Mass Effect aliens are so awesome looking and while they got everybody's favorite, Garrus, I'd like a Krogan (Wrex, please!) and maybe Tali or Liara before anymore humans. Thankfully, they have the common sense not to make Jack. I purposefully got her killed in the suicide mission for annoying me all of ME2.
My other issue is the expense. I could afford all the Big fish figures, flawed as they are, but if I go Play Arts, I'll only be able to get Garrus and that's just because I love the character. He'll also be the only character of his scale I'll have, so that blows.
At 20 bucks each the big fish figures will cost you 160... once the Play arts figure come out you should be able to round up the set of 3 right around or under that. I got the first set when DC direct released them. They are decent but I certainly dont see what paint will do for them. I'm anxious to see the second set since they were never released.
